Jangan Papa Jahat tu Jack and the Bean stalk sudahlah.
Aznaff,
This Jack very unik lah. He can cast with his Zoga Zoga without shock leader very very far lah. Sampaikan line kat reel habis terus tarik rod masuk laut da. Jack is Back with a vengence.

Posted - 12/25/2007 : 12:01:15 Hi Ozzy,
Thanks for the input buddy, I actually don't quite fancy stiff rods coz I know I can't really maximize it. Probably my technique is not quite there yet!
I realise that with stiffer rods I tend to cut corners and compromise on proper techniques...in the long run I know it will only lead to disaster. I have experienced that many times. I think, the key is to understand the maturity of your technique and capabilities before deciding on a suitable rod.
I also have the old tip tornado Formula, never did try it on the field thinking that its too soft......very enlightening feedback from you man.
What! a new caster Jack..........this will be very interesting to see in the next Tourny, in March 2008, I hope. I will definitely work this out with Oakinn and our President, BroOnn to see it materialise.

Aznaff,
You made the right choice. Soft does not mean not powerful. Big Danny can even sent the lead way beyond 200meters and more with the famous fishing rod ZZiplex3500. What can we say. After owning and disowning Century and ZZ rods have come to a conclusion a rod that you can bend and handle the lead size will outcast the latest and powerful rod. At the end of the day use a rod that you can handle. I for once used to think stiffer rod will cast further. But now the perception has changed. Now I am casting with a an old Tip Tornado Formula fishing rod . This rod is soft but send the 125g further than the rest of the rod that I own.
But for 150g, it is totally different story lah. . But this comment only apply to me only lah. Juz my 2 cents to share what I feel. Hehe
Anyway, one of our novice caster ever casted more than 190m with his profile with high reel. I'm speechless he casted further than me. For now I need to take more tongkat Ali to compete with him.
Back here we have another budding caster by the name of Jack. He is hitting very good distances after getting hold of the Dymic HST. Everyone here is looking at him now. He reminds me of Peter Thain in his prime

Posted - 12/20/2007 : 02:39:00 Alamak Aznaff , a soalan cepu emas ni ... , very heavy to answer lah , my personal opinion , 100grm and 125grm is the best choice to cast with as you can feel the action , if 150grm , ZTI is the ideal one ( betul tak Ozzy ) , spoken to quiet a numbers of UK guys using this Zippy Profile for 18grm plug Torny , they loves it .....

Posted - 12/19/2007 : 22:30:09 Hi Ozzy/Y,
In my quest to look for the long lost M4 (stolen by Onn),I happened to read some threads by Keith White (Jersey Casting Club Forum)and he was raving about the Zziplex Profile and was astonished to be able to cast 240m ish on 150g regularly, although this rod is considered pretty soft for tournament casting!
Very enlightening info indeed! as they always say....if you can't bend the rod, you will never know its maximum capabilities.
Went to Sabre Tackle this afternoon, to just look around..........and there was this beautiful Zziplex equal length rod waving at me. Went closer and guess what....a Profile! going quite cheap.
I cannot tahan already.........remembered Keith White's thread....
I now realise the Zziplex Profile is now with me at home....he he.
What do you guys think of the Profile eh? I know some DSG members were using it during our recent tourny right?
Will be sending my new toy to Kepong Tackle for ringing soon........

Actually , this rod need more time to preload and compress as if you are too early , that's it , bye bye then , the other things , u also need a lot of power too to bring up the rod and hammer as the rod power will come from the mid section which will combine with the tip ( tip is fast taper and feel like Primo Synchro ) to make that vital blend .....
Anyway , u can see better result if you use 150grm iso 125grm , but for me , I'll prefer M4 honestly .....
Again , this is only my humble and limited knowledge of the ZTI and M4 ............
Thank you.

Bro Y,
Sounds very familiar eh! Nice revieew anyway.
Aznaff,
Had cast both rods recently. Personally, the M4 is very sweet for 125g. Butt is lighter and easier to bring around during the cast and easier to cast too. ZTI is like a bigger brother to M4. Nice for flat arc and XCast but have not tried high swing though. 150g is sweet for this rod. Butt is a bit stiffer and not as easy to bring around though. Both being equal length but do not share the same action though.
Edros is using M4 with 125g and getting good distant consistently. So far ZTI with 125g has not perform well for most casters here. Not sure why though.
M4 in my opinion will suit you better unless if you prefer to cast deadcow.
Juz my 2 cents.
OzzY

Ozzy ,
Where got nice review , cuma agak2 je , but it will be nice and actual review if I own that ZTI , like that some one who own a ZTI also, right and whose distance at the moment using 150grm with ZTI is very good at least top 5 ....

Thanks for the great input man. That's what I feel as well..........I had some casting sessions with Onn (also known as Kupit King now!)and I can see that he was able to manage the rod efficiently thus attaining good distances easily (now owes him 10 can drinks already...wager lah!).
Not had any experience with the ZTI yet.....that's why I'm asking lah.
Problem is M4 is none available in Malaysia now.........Onn stole mine from the shop!

Aji,
Actually, me no intention to buy the M4,I just helping our friend Peter to get grid of his zippy stock. You know me what, I'm a Century collector, got mostof my numbering wit this rod except in our 1st Tourney, I'm using Zippy PSLT. Anyway if you have the M4, you cast tak jauh pun heheheeeee.....
Cheers. Cheers.
