Hi all, my flight got delay so I got an extra day to spend in KK. I'm arriving KK on the 20th late afternoon, and depart on 22nd in the morning, so I got the whole day of 21st Sep to spend.

What would you guys recommend? any freshwater/inshore guide service for a 1 day trip? for snakehead/toman/barramundi?

Or any guided tour to shoot some elephant/Proboscis ? I mean photography.

any info is appreciated

thank you

That is a good one Isaac. I don't think barra has the time to shoot any monkey unless he starts his journey very early in the morning.

Hi Sea baby 2, thanks for the tips on the jesselton - tho I have to now find out what that is :)

I have never thought kk is a open zoo, else why would I need guided service/tour? ;) I'm prepare to follow a guide into the jungle. Rang up a few agents - they suggest the monkey farm. As for fishing, plenty for deep-sea, but sadly there're no guide for freshwater.

waking up early is not a problem, I'm a fisherman ... kekeke ... we all can wake up at 3am in the morning.

Hi barra1265,

Jesselton point is the terminal for Labuan-KK daily and open for fishing 6pm onwards, i'm sure there is many pple can show you the way, any bait will do, as there is a lot of groupers and snappers u can get there if the water tide is nice.

As the "monkey business", the nearest proboscis monkey sanctuary is located at Klias, u can shoot them in evening trips. I suggest you to follow trips organized by tourism agency, getting to Klias is abit tough. And, the trip is made daily.

All the best~!

Hi Uncle Thomas,

Hehe...just some welcoming jokes lar..hahaha

regards

try tasting wild durians sold by the orang aslis...the fruit looks different from the cultivated D24, etc. and the flesh is oso different. Once in a lifetime opp to taste our native wild fruit. I missed my chance back in the 90s. now regret like mad...donno when I can go back there F.O.C. (i went to Bintulu & Kuching on company duty back then)

there are day trip fishing charters, but will cost around rm350-450/day (like 6 hours)

another option is jst walk around the esplanade and fish...but very slim chances. If u got wheels jst google map the town of KK, and look around the nearby estuaries..
